FAQ
Everything you're wondering before you call.
We get asked a lot of the same questions — about membership, cost, and how care at Atma actually works day to day. Here are honest answers to the most common ones.
Our membership model is what keeps costs affordable and lets our providers spend real time with every patient, so provider visits are reserved for members. That said, some services — like IV Nutrition Therapy and Regenerative Aesthetics — are available to the public without a membership.
Membership is priced to be a genuine alternative to traditional insurance, not an add-on to it — see our Membership page for current pricing. Because care at Atma is fully individualized, your total investment depends on your personal treatment plan; we're always happy to give you a general estimate before you commit.
No. We're transparent about our fees and invite you to ask about any cost at any time — before, during, or after your appointment. Because we don't bill insurance, you deal directly with us on billing questions, with nothing lost in translation.
Atma Clinic does not bill insurance. Instead, we use a membership model — much like a gym or wholesale club membership — that gives you access to an entire coordinated team of Functional, Integrative, and Holistic Primary Care providers who actually know your case. See our Financial Options page for CareCredit, in-house payment plans, and our Zion HealthShare partnership.
Atma is a formal referral partner of Zion HealthShare, an independent health-sharing ministry that can pair alongside your membership to help share the cost of larger medical events outside of primary care. Zion HealthShare is not an insurance company, and membership in Zion HealthShare is not offered by an insurance company — visit zionhealthshare.org to view your state-specific notice. Full details, including how it compares to membership alone, are on our Financial Options page.
Our goal in year one is to assess your current level of health and build toward real optimization — not just symptom management. Root-cause medicine takes time, which is part of why membership is a 12-month commitment. Our patients are consistently surprised by how much progress they make toward their health goals in that first year.
Every membership includes:

Most provider visits can happen by phone or video. Some services, like physical exams and lab draws, do require an in-person visit. If you live outside Kansas, see our Out-of-State & Telehealth page for what virtual membership looks like.
With membership, you see your provider as often — or as infrequently — as your needs require. Atma providers dedicate their time entirely to Atma members, so you're never competing with a packed outside caseload for their attention.
Yes. Both our Lawrence (1011 Westdale Rd) and Overland Park (10590 Barkley St, Suite 202) locations offer accessible parking, entry, and exam rooms. See our Locations page for details on each office.
We carefully select lab partners for the most advanced testing available at affordable prices, with specimen collection handled onsite at the clinic. Members receive preferred rates through our LabCorp partnership — ask your provider for specifics based on your care plan.
