Neurofeedback
Therapy

A mirror for your nervous system.

Learn to shift out of "fight or flight" and into "rest and relax" — without medication, electricity, or shocks.

What Is Neurofeedback, and Why Would We Recommend It?

Neurofeedback refers to a group of techniques that provide direct feedback on how your nervous system is functioning in real time. The premier methods of neurofeedback — which we use exclusively — bring a mirror to the nervous system, helping the body see itself. The goal is awareness and control over whether you're in "fight or flight" or "rest and relax." This reduces nervous tension, anxiety, and depression, and can benefit a range of neurologic conditions as well.

How Does Neurofeedback Work?

The Process

Atma Clinic exclusively uses the premier form of neurofeedback — the NeurOptimal system.
It's safe and effective. Soft pads on the scalp read your brainwaves — nothing is sent back to the brain, and there's no electricity, shocks, or stimulation of any kind.
You simply listen to music. When your brainwaves fall out of pattern — typical in a moment of stress or tension — the music briefly disrupts. Wanting to avoid that disruption, you learn to take conscious control of your own brainwaves.
Every session includes a dedicated guide who helps integrate the experience and talk through anything that comes up during or after your session.
